Again, another welcome to this forum. Your statement is probably true, but I miss your point.

I will repeat the rumor that it is not off limits to contractors who work directly for The Villages. And since the great and powerful (and by ME admired, Oz) wants to have a private place to eat there, it's his property and he can do with it whatever he wants.

Thank you Mr. Gary Morse for being even older than me and not guilty of any age bias that I can feel......:) Enjoy your private restaurant, you deserve it.

It's overrated for most of us, but it does give the powers that be a quiet place to go. That's what I love about the Villages, there is something for everyone. THANK YOU Morse family! We are living the dream & loving it !! :bigbow:

Come on Joe. How'd you get in? Tell us about it. Why is it snooty?

Give it up. Inquiring minds want to know...and the danged nosy do too.

That would be me.

Went with a member. Google snooty if you don't know what it means.

I have been to the Angler restaurant. It was nice but not gourmet or anything. It did not seem snooty to me, but then I am Sooooo upper class. It really was somewhat like one of the BBQ places because it had a western motif. The food was good, the service was OK also but nothing better than many other places I have been down here. BTW, the CEO of TVRH took us for a retirement lunch. I guess he is a member.

When I first moved here I ate there all the time, then they changed the Happy Hour to 56 minutes. On my last visit it took 22 minutes to be served and I said "Enough!!".
