EFiI needs Premium Gas plus Additive

Someone told me that Yamaha dealer is saying EFI carts should take Premium gas and an additive to compensate for ethanol
Anyone with an EFI cart or any knowledge of this?

Premium gas sometimes but not always, but always an additive for the ethanol.
The biofuels are playing havoc with our fuel systems.

Frank, I understand the need for an additive for the ethanol but not the need for sometimes needing premium fuel. Can you please explain?

The premium fuel is not needed for low compression engines to operate, but the premium fuels usually have additives to protect and keep engines clean. Using premium fules one out of three tanks could be helpful.
