Did they change owners or office staff during the past four years?
I ask because when we moved here four years ago, I went to the pink bldg to inquire about plantation shutters, etc. The girl there sent someone out to measure windows, etc. The pricing she gave me was twice as much as other bids I received. When I told her this (via email) she asked what the pricing was and said she would go lower.
That didn't sit well with me at all. So she gave me an inflated price, twice as much as other bids but was willing to go down lower than the lowest bid!
I read great reviews on 48 Hrs and just wonder if they changed hands over the years. I want to do a few rooms but after my experience, hesitate to contact them
Did anyone else have this experience? I don't want to waste my time or their time if others found their pricing out of line.

I can't imagine Rick at 48 hour blinds doing anything unethical
You may have been quoted a price on other bids... for not as good quality. It sounds like he was willing to cut his margin to hardly anything to keep your business.
But my guess is that you would be getting a better product.
I know I am not alone in thinking that Rick and his crew work hard and have high quality products and stand behind what they do.

Thanks Gracie; I've always turned to your posts as a common sense type of thing so when I saw your review, then it got me to thinking.
I never met Rick; it was so girl he had working there and having a sales background, I found her very unprofessional with a bad attitude.
I may contact them agan as long as she's not answering the phone!

For what's its worth. Rick was recommended to us. We called him and he met us at our model, measured the windows and gave us a very fair and good price. I was very impressed with how efficient and quickly he responded Our house is currently under construction, and even though its not completed yet, rick stopped by on his own to check on the progress and set a date for install the day we settle.
Don't hesitate to call him again

Did fantastic work in my entire house including sliders. I thought they were reasonably priced.

They did all my blinds about 5 years ago. A few months ago hubby broke the header on the slider and we couldn;t get it back up. I called and they were there in a few hours and put it back together good as new..for free! He explained that they stand behind their work! I would not hesitate to use them again.
