Went to Amelia's restaurant and the prices are outrageous for what you get.
I had the fish dinner with rice and veggies. The whole meal was just about warm. I tryied to eat it but stopped and could not eat anymore. I told the waiter and he said he was sorry and took it away. In a few minutes he brought me a new fish dinner and it was hot. The fish was dry and it was heated up in a microware oven or broiler. No good restaurant would have food ready in advance ready to reheat. Never again.
Same kind of comments I have read many times before. You would think the the developer would run a nicer restaurant in his "luxury" hotel.

Has anyone out there had a good experience with Amelia's restaurant? My husband and I are thinking of going for lunch or dinner, I like the waterfront idea. Doesn't look like the menu has much to offer in variety.

Maybe you will have a good experience. However, you already don't like what is offered on the menu....................

This is in Waterfront Inn correct? Strange----somebody told me a few months ago that they have a really good burger ----as a matter of fact----he said best in TV. Maybe they have changed cooks. I've never been there. For the waterfront, there are other options. Cody's, Lighthouse, Gators---been to all of them with mostly good results.

Haven't been there in awhile, but have always liked the food at Amelia's.
No problems with food or service.

I have dinner there at least 2 or 3 times a week (actually in the lobby, not in the restaurant). Have never had a problem. Salads are great, steaks are very tender and the shrimp and pasta dish, I have them substitute chicken for the shrimp, and its wonderful. Sorry you had a bad experience.

ok, so my husband and I tried their breakfast buffet. He loved the food, while I thought it mediocre at best for a hotel restaurant. he loved biscuits and gravy and cheese and ham omlette. I found the cubed overcooked potatoes to be gross, cheese and spinach omlette just ok, and other food items to be of poor quality. just goes to show you, dining out is so personal in taste. Now, our server, named Stephen, was a gem, and took time to talk with us TV newbies, he provided excellent service. So much so that I want to give the restaurant another try. perhaps outside this time, overlooking the beautiful lake.
