Florida is one of only 10 states where the new swipe fees going into play this Sunday is illegal. What this means is in other states, anywhere you use a credit card transaction including Internet sales would add up to 4% to your bill.

I understand that starting in February the VCCDD will be accepting credit cards for payment of amenity and water bills. I called to inquire about it and was told that there would be a surcharge. Payment can be done online through the district site with a convenience fee of $4.59.
