Played golf with the ladies this afternoon at Redfish Run. As we were standing around talking, a black bug fluttered by. Thought it might be one of those black gnatty type bugs flying around lately. It was caught/landed on one of the ladies' legs and son of a gun, that red head showed us it was a love bug. Seems a bit early....but it was only one...an early "bloomer" I imagine.
Anyone else notice any love bugs?

I think it's too early for those. Don't they come out in April or May?? Then again in the fall??

About May for those love bugs. But maybe the above normal temps has something to do with it?

I agree. This particular bug wasn't large...could have been a male. He just showed up early so he could have his pick of the lady love bugs when they arrive!

Last year I saw the same thing. Single lonely Love Bugs wandering around lookin' for love in all the wrong places, such as my screen door.

What she isn't saying that it was MY golf shirt that the little bugger was crawling lasciviously all over. yikes.

I know I am such a desirable soul; drunks and lovebugs just love me!!! (And one very nice older man)

The weatherman on the NBC local news just confirmed he saw lovebugs today. He said the car washes love it. It could be a very long season this year. It's very rare to see them in January.
