My husband and I moved to The Villages earlier this year. Can anyone recommend a good tax preparer? I would like someone who knows what they are doing/as well as the ins and outs of the system- not someone who is just plugging numbers onto a form.... but won't charge me an arm and a leg. I appreciate your recommendations!

Suggest you search earlier threads. This question has been asked and answered at least twice earlier this week.

Fl does not have an income tax so why not use the same person you have been using before you moved? You probably have to file in that state as a part year resident and the person you find in TV may not know your old state laws.
Next year you will only have the Federal so change to a local guy or use Turbo Tax,

We moved to the villages about two years ago. Had some irs issues.
Found Mark Murphy CPA, MBA. He came our the house.
Mark was professional, pleasant.competent and went the extra mile to resolve our issues. His charges were reasonable and we plan to use him again this year. He can be reached on 1=407-328-8460.

We used Village Tax on Rolling Acres over by Home Depot and found them to be very good.
