Anyone know where I can get a pair of shoes stretched? I tried Shoe Biz on #441 but they will only stretch if bought there. I would assume the same of the shoe store near Bargains & Treasures on #466?? Don't know if that stuff they advertise on TV called Stretch Genie works so don't want to spend the $10. Where have all the old-time shoe repairers gone? :(

There used to be a shoe repair guy in Dade City, Florida, but I don't know if he's still there. I haven't been there for several years. Call the Dade City Chamber of Commerce to find out.

Due to your post, I realized that I had left a pair of shoes at All About Feet, the shoe on 466 near Bargain and Treasures. I picked my shoes up today and asked about stretching and they do. They have a shoe repair shop in the back of the store. You might what to ask what they charge before leaving shoes.

They charge $5 per shoe and they like to keep them for a few days with the stretcher in. Their hours are 9-5 (M-F) and 10-3 on Saturdays.

JohnI have a feeling they can't, but give them a call John. I'm sure they can answer that for you. The phone number is on the Google link I posted in my last message in this thread.

I've had a pair of new shoes for a number of years now that I haven't been able to get on past the in-step because of my big feet. They were dropped of at AAF yesterday, but it's going to take a little longer than they first indicated over the phone. They will be ready in the middle of next week. They also indicated they may not stretch enough. It had something to do with the elasticity of the stitching, but don't ask me why. As Sgt. Schultz used to say... "I Know NUT-TING!!!"
