Lost @1pm today (Wed. 1/29) from Markridge Loop in the Village of Pennecamp, small, female beige dog which was just adopted last Saturday. She slipped out of her collar and leash and was last seen running across #3 of Jacaranda Golf Course, thru Dove Hollow across Bailey Trail and into Bailey Ridge Villas. She may not answer to her name, Sandy, very skittish. She is microchipped. Owner heartbroken.
Please call 352-751-7396 if found. Neighbors out searching. If no answer call my cell 774-219-0124 Nancy. Thank you.

If you haven't called the radio station, please do that. They reach way more people than TOTV. Good luck, good luck, good luck.

The radio station and community watch has been called.
She was just spotted at 3:45 sitting in the shade of a villa entrance at Baylee Ridge Villas. My husband tried to get her and she took off out the entrance to Baylee Ridge and disappeared. The owner went over again to see if she is in the shrubs along the wall of the villas. Very scary where there is so much traffic on Bailey Trail.

Please, please, please find her and save her. Oh how sad it is that they are so scared and confused. Please keep us posted as to her being found and saved.
They only have us humans to help them.

As of 7pm, still no Sandy. She was spotted back on Markridge Loop at the burned out house and someone tried to coax her with treats and couldn't so she went to get the owner. On returning with an army of neighbors we still can't find her. Now someone saw her across the Jacaranda Golf Course heading towards Southern Star. Everyone is so upset because it took this owner a year to get back to looking for just the right dog after losing her husband and dog (18yrs old) in the same week a year ago last Thanksgiving.
Please keep your eyes open because it's going to get very cold and rainy.

Sandy arrived home at 9pm tonight happy as a clam to be home. Her owner sat on the front lawn after the neighborhood quieted down and she came prancing down the street and went right to her. Tomorrow she will be buying a harness instead of using a collar for walks. Thank you all for your concern. You are the best.

Sounds like a typical newbie to me. Arrive, take a little walk, check out a few neighborhoods and golf courses, say Hi to a few new neighbors....go home at 9PM...

I guess she knew her curfew and didn't want to get in more trouble...so glad to here she is safe and sound..the harnesses are the safest and easy on their bodies. We have to use them for the pugs because of their breathing. They never get out of it.

We have a rescue and the first few months we had him if he slipped out the door he would run.....and of course we would chase him, call him etc to no avail. The best advise I got from my Vet was get his attention, run the way you want him to go and he will follow you. After all its just a game to them. It works every time! Of course now that he has a good life he wouldn't think of running.

She just went out and about to learn her new neighborhood :) It's like dogs have their own GPS. I couldn't believe how quickly my dog learned all the streets around my home! I did use a harness, but he lead me all over the place. I liked to let him choose the route to find out what was going on in his little head in case he did get away someday.

Awesome news! I kept watch on the other side of the Jacaranda Course yesterday to no avail. I'd bet she liked the music at LSL and when it ended at 9........
