Well after two wonderful weeks in The Villages (Jan 5th - 19th). We have returned home to Colorado Springs and the reality of living in Colorado. We had snow over the past two days and I spent some time outside today with my boots, jacket, hat, gloves, and shovel in hand. All the while I was thinking about our last visit to TV and our next one...may it be as nice as the last. Not to mention it was -4 (wind chill) here and 82 degrees in TV today.

We have our heads down, blocking the wind, and our eyes on the prize...Come On Aug! I miss my golf cart too!

Cheers,

Billy

Currently in a big snow storm in UP of Michigan. Leaving for Vegas Tuesday than on to TV Saturday. Can't wait to get out of this weather and gloom and into the sun.

We only got 4" of snow...I am sure you got it worse up there. Enjoy your trip to Vegas and TV. Looks like you have some good weather ahead. I couldn't stand it anymore and booked us a trip to TV in three weeks in addition to April. :police:

I live in Texas, West Texas, not the Texas with the trees!
In my perfect world I would live in southwest Colorado in the summer and TV in the winter.
I will get to spend a week in TV this coming April and two weeks in Colorado in Aug.
It's a start!
Like my name says, notlongnow.

Keep your eye on the prize. At least you see light at the end of the tunnel. Only a few weeks left of winter. Here in CT it is also cold. It hasn't been a bad winter so far with little snow fall. Hope it continues to be this way. It was -4 degrees a few days back.

We all like to be in TV sitting and having a tall cool drink.

Hang in there!!!!!

We thought of keeping our Colorado house too for that very reason but decided to go the RV route and do our traveling up north and back here to see the kids and grandkids during those hot summer months. Enjoy your visit to both TV and Colorado. Hope you get your TV residency sooner then later.

For now it's...:cold:

Hi Carm...6 months for us too! I have been visiting my mother in TV for the past 16 years, hoping, praying, and working our butts off and getting our ducks in line...waiting for the day. Stay busy and before you know it you will be living the dream. Good luck to you!

Thanks! We are in the process of selling our home to our son! We will be living under his roof for a little bit. Funny how things can change. We have been going through 33 years of accumulation, donating, packing things we want to take with. We are shedding a lot of "stuff" and keeping what matters the most to us. It is keeping us busy and helping to get through the cold winter days. Our target is the 1st week of August.

I know what you mean. We have been sorting through things and only keeping the things that matter the most. Down sizing about 1500 sq ft and losing an over sized 3-car garage and large shed...ugh! We have already sent one POD down to our home with necessities. Have you bought yet? We are in #178 Village of Sanibel. I will send you a PM.

We finally threw in the towel on Colorado last June. Sold the house in the Springs, got rid of 98% of our stuff and came to TV. Just like that. Believe me when I say, you really won't miss it.

When you get here be sure to check out the Colorado Club. Meets monthly, usually on the first Wednesday. Fun group. That way you can still keep somewhat connected and not have to shovel snow.

We look forward to meeting you.

Meredith and Dave

Bf2008 - I was going to also suggest you check out the Colorado Club when you get here, but Gilchrist Cruisers beat me to it. I agree, a great group of folks!

Thanks for the info on the Colorado club. I have looked for some info on the club but came up empty. Does the club have a web site...? You are right, I won't miss it very much. Especially the snow...anyone need a couple of used shovels?

Teresa and I look forward to meeting you too.

Regards

Thanks Villager...are you from Colorado? Where? Teresa and I look forward to meeting everyone. Never met anyone from Colorado that I didn't like. Well maybe a few...very few!

Cheers!!!
