The last time I visited I had no problems golfing on exec courses as a single but this time there will be three of us (all guests) how difficult will it be for us to get tee times. We'll want to golf a couple days on Championship courses and the remainder of the week on Execs. We're not really choosy regarding tee times. We'll be down mid March.
Thanks,
Pat

Here is a good explanation of the "point system".
Guests fall below residents.

I think you will have trouble with a request that contains guests for the executive. I was curious, so over coffee I did a little test to see if I could get a tee time for Tuesday (Feb 5) . Your status does not matter when you 'select' a time within the three day window.
On the championship courses I stopped counting at 100, meaning there are over 100 tee times available for a foursome on Tuesday to be taken right now.
On the executives there are 13 in the AM, then a bunch AFTER 4:02 PM
I was surprised there were that many at the championship courses, being that it is mens day and all....

Thanks AJBrown. For the executive courses was that 13 for all courses or just a specific choice of a group o courses?

Okay so say we have trouble getting tee times in the Villages are there any nearby golf courses that are in good condition to play? Any outside to avoid?

We palyed today at 7:29 at tarpon boil. The first couple of holes were nippy, but by the time we played #3, it had warmed up, and by #6, the jackets came off. Really not too bad. Since you're coming in March, the weather shouldn't be a factor, and we'll have additional daylight, so more t-times available.

If you contact Continental they offer internet deals and it is a great course. I'd stay away from Lake Miona as it is dangerous and to me resembles a cow pasture..JMHO

Any other recommendations as we're looking to get out 4-5 times.

Try Baseline in Belleview. It's the coolest executive course around. Pretty much always in great shape. Eighteen holes plus on bonus hole on the front. It's called Lucky 13. It has a few more par 4's than the executive courses in The Villages.
