I've attended the last two meetings at the Beatlemaniac's at O'Dell Rec Center on Friday (10a.m to noon) and have had a really good time. The first meeting there were (9 guitar players and two drummers) the second meeting, I counted 11 guitars and 2 drummers. When the guys jammed everything work well despite little or no practice. If you enjoy Beatle stuff I recommend it.
Next week to celebrate the anniversary of the Beatles first appearance on Ed Sullivan (49 years. Seems like yesterday) there will be a re showing of the eventful Ed Sullivan broadcast. Although not sure, but I believe there will also be the conclusion of the concert held for George Harrison a year after his death.

Of course, time will be put aside for everyone to sing along as the group will play Beatle songs. The leader of the group, does an excellent John Lennon. If I had to find a complaint about the meeting ..it would be the absence of a keyboard player. But if you have the time, check out the group. It's worth the time.

Because of my work schedule, I have only been able to attend the Beatlemaniacs Club 3 times. I had a great time at each one. For anyone who enjoys the Beatles, or just plain good music, I suggest a visit as well. And yes, the good Dr. Boogie is an excellent Lennon!

Thank you both so much. The club continues to grow and grow. It seems that new people show up each week.

We do have a couple of keyboard players but we never know who is going to show up each week. Attendance is not mandatory.

You've both inspired me to practice up a bit more.

How about practicing the B side to Parlophone R5055? Hey, it is a request and trivia question!

Can we just stop by just to listen to the music or must we join the club to attend?

Just stop by and listen and sing along like I do. There are no fees to pay. It is fun.

We usually have a short discussion at the beginning of the meeting, then watch a video until about 11:00 and start jamming around 11:00.
