The newest regional rec center has begun. It looks very black at this point. Must be something black on the concrete blocks, at this point. It will be called Eisnhower.

Depends as to which sire you are referring to. There is a LOT of construction going on in the Brownwood area.

You might want to check the preliminary map that Bill posted a link to some time back as that shows the rec centers.

Eisenhower Regional Rec Center is being built at Buena Vista and 44a .

The one I have that shows everything south of 466A used to be one of the maps from the Village Community Development Districts (http://www.districtgov.org) site but was taken down at some point in time. I'd saved a copy to my pc prior to that but I believe the link for it is no longer available on the District web site.

Bill :)Your welcome Bill, but don't sell yourself short. I knew that I had posted the link to that PDF at least a few times in the past, but when I went for it I found you had also posted it in or around March of last year.

I don't know if it was you, me or someone else that first posted it, but that doesn't really matter. I had previously saved it to my hard drive for quick future viewing (lengthly download time) but unfortunately couldn't just post that copy I had on my HD.

Anyway, we passed Eisenhower on the way to Brownwood yesterday morning and it looks like their progressing quickly. Looks like they just got the rafters on the building and midstream in the roofing. I wouldn't be surprised if they're the next center to open and that it won't be much longer.

Across from the firehouse, on Buena Vista, is the next regional rec center, Eisenhower.

In Brownwood to the left of the stage I believe that will be Five Guys and across the street behind the stage will be World of Beers.

it is not even under construction; and neither is another location for sweetbay. i wonder what is to be built on the huge cleared tract of land to the west of brownwood? as much as i do not like walmart, that would be a welcome addition and so would a home depot or lowe's. or maybe a target?

Went on a trolley tour last week and was informed the new construction right off the square would be the world of beers.
