Interesting exhibit at the Savannah Rec Center. The coded addresses are very informative. It closes soon but there are a few more hours today while it will be there. http://articles.orlandosentinel.com/2013-02-09/news/os-lk-holocaust-exhibit-20130209_1_stamp-show-ken-lawrence-inverted-jenny http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/lake/os-lk-holocaust-exhibit-nazi-scourge-20130213,0,6206370.story

It was very interesting indeed and the stories told by survivors were very emotional. A very special afternoon spent there.

If you missed it in the Villages watch for it in other cities. http://www.scoopweb.com/Holocaust_survivor
It is very hard to immerse yourself in tales of such evil as with the Holocaust but it must never be forgotten as this kind of human created savagery can rear its ugly head again.

How about the 40 million (low estimate) American Indians ---This too should never be forgotten The Annihilation of the Native Americans (http://www.operationmorningstar.org/The_Annihilation_of_the_Native_Americans.htm)

A visit to Dachau Germany. Unbelievable but sadly true.

We've been to the Holocaust in DC.....all the shoes making a mountain really set the tone for the scope of the enormous loss of life. Anyway it was tastefully done.

The Scourge exhibit was done artfully too. You can see it online. Or, most of it. http://www.spungenfoundation.org/collection.html

I agree. We have a dear neighbor friend up here who was actually born in a concentration camp as the war was ending........all of her parents' families were exterminated........her mom and dad survived, along with the baby.
When she tells her story, as she often does..........it brings tears to my eyes.
It also has brought tears to my adult children's eyes.......but as you say, it is important that we never forget. She was our children's high school mathematics teacher and is active in talking about the Holocaust within our community which has a very small Jewish population.
There were also other religions that were killed and other ethnic groups.......
God forbid, but it could happen again.........
