I hope I'm putting this in the right spot, if not, please forgive me.
I'm visiting TV next weekend and staying at The Waterfront Inn. I'm driving in from Tampa and I'm not sure where I should enter. I know there are a lot of gates, most unmanned.
Could someone be kind enough to tell me where to enter?

You can enter at any gate. There is a button to push and Villages Watch will open the gate. The gates are for traffic control..........not a gated community.

Agree! We stay at Waterfront Inn when we are there and I don't remember ever having to go through a gate just to get to the Waterfront.

There are no gates to get to this hotel. It's just down the street from the town square which is accessible to residents and non residents alike.

Betty: As others have stated, gates will not be an issue.

Regarding your specific inquiry of where you should enter, you have three primary choices.
Presuming that you are using I 75 from Tampa, exiting Highway 44 East
1. stay on 44 eastbound past Highway 301. A little over a mile past the 44-301 intersection on your left will be the newest town center, Brownwood Paddock Square. The stop light just past Brownwood is Buena Vista. Buena Vista is the longer of the two main north-south roads (Morse is the other) in The Villages; it stretches the entire length of TV, from 44 at the southern-most end to Highway 42 in the northern most. Turn left. Stay on Buena Vista through 11 roundabouts (you cross 466a after roundabout 6). Turn right at the 12th roundabout, which is Old Mill Road. The Waterford will be on your left about 1/4 mile or so.

2. At the intersection of 44 and 301, turn left onto 301. Stay on 301 north to the 2nd light, 466a. Turn right. Stay on 466a for approx 2 miles or two stoplights, and you will reach Buena Vista. Turn left. 6 roundabouts later, turn right onto Old Mill.

3. At the intersection of 44 and 301, turn left onto 301. Stay on 301 north to County Road 472. Turn right. Stay on 472 (which turns into Rainey Trail) several miles until you reach the roundabout...at Buena Vista! Turn right. Stay on Buena Vista...2 roundabouts later is Old Mill Road. Turn left.
