Well, we survived the blizzard of 2013 but the roads were even closed in Bridgeport yesterday and one would get a ticket if they ventured out.
Woke up this morning and just for haha's, I called our emergency hotline to see the status of working hours. It seems we don't have power in the office due to the ice storm that is covering CT. Oh Joy.
Just what we needed. I am slightly perturbed but will wait until it is safe to go out ad clean off the car again. :grumpy:

Hopefully the sun coming through the ice on the trees will give you a splendid prism effect and you can find some joy in it. If there is no sun, ....bummer.

sent you pm
Oh my goodness, I'm so sorry. My son is in CT for work this week, not sure what area his working area is in. Please stay safe. My sister is visiting from MA and last evening we got a call from her son,.....the house of her dearest friend is a total loss to fire....started in the chimney. Got on the scanner page for her area...seems lots of fires for one reason or another, and extreme difficulty for the fire departments in working them.

Got stuck coming to work. I pulled into the street where I work onto a slight hill going down. I didn't notice a car that was stuck blocking the road at the bottom of the hill. If I was thinking correctly, I was have cut through a companies lot and got around the stuck car. Instead, I tried to make it back up the slight hill that wasn't plowed and got stuck in a rut of ice.
The angels were with me as plows came in a few minutes and freed me, Whew!!!
You can bet a shovel of sunshine I won't be going back that way. the street is basically one lane. Hopefully, they will plow some of the streets as barely two cars can fit on most roads.
There is so much snow, there is nowhere to put it. :(
