Here we are, in the Village Post Office with the line out the door, and Jo Blow takes a call at the front of the line, Post Office employee is being MORE patient than the 30 of us waiting in line, and it's another nonsense call...
Wonder if he realizes that 20 years ago, he would have taken that call at home....I know, I know, we are all retired and what is the rush, BUT it is soooooo RUDE....Come on people, let's use the Ole Golden Rule and be more considerate of others, Is that too much to ask!!!!!:pray:

I hate, hate, hate the cell phones. Its bad enough when then kids are constantly texting, but when older folks cant wait to take a call...its just plain rude. I've been in resturants where whole families are having a meal...each and everyone at the table is texting ot talking, not paying attention to anyone at their table.

One day last year I was in the mercantile store in Spanish Springs--I was looking at mens shirts for my husband--I asked the sales lady for a size that was not displayed, and she went to the back to look for it. In the meantime a lady answered her phone and began a conversation with her friend in New York--she was speaking so loud that it became annoying to me as well as two other ladies in the store--we walked out of the store and the sales lady went outside looking for us! We both replied that due to the woman on the telephone inside the store, we could no longer stand her loud voice! We are from California and we find that people there are not rude in speaking on their cell phone--they keep their voices down and in most cases leave their surrounding to go out side to talk on the telephone--I guess many folks never had a cell phone like we have had for twenty years ! People need to modulate their voices when using their cell phones, so that others are not
subject to hearing their life story!

What I find sad are the parents walking with small children who are totally ignored because mama or papa are too busy talking on their cell phones.

stopping in the middle of a tennis game to answer a call - twice - turned out to be his wife wanting something picked up on his way home - like that couldn't have been handled with a voicemail
