I have about 100 8 mm and 16 mm movies to be converted to DVD. I have priced Video Vault Productions in Belleview and I'm sure they do great work, but they are very expensive. I'm looking for an alternative. I see from an old thread that Costco does this, but I just checked and they use Yesvideo, which has gotten poor reviews on the web. These are all our movies of our kids when they were little, so I don't want to risk their getting damaged.

Any suggestions? Has anyone used Video Vault Productions for this? Walgreen's is supposed to do this too. Has anyone used Walgreen's?

Thanks.

I am also trying to convert my old old 8mm & 16mm film and asked about it in Sam's Club (here in Calif) and they have a service that does it. The clerk told me they have specials once in a while and that I should wait for that.

I used Video Vault. They do great work. Even have a sound studio where you can do a voice over.

Thanks for the info, Bogie Shooter. I think I will probably just bite the bullet and use Video Vault.

Thanks also to dalecrenshaw. I'm not a member of Sam's; otherwise, I would have considered them.
