I was looking into the Straight Talk 45.00 a month cell phone plan. Has anyone have any experience with this company and the plan.

I have the $45.00/mth plan. Bought the Samsung Proclaim phone. So far I have been happy with the phone and plan. I have had excellent reception and have had no problem w the data part of the plan.

I haVe 2 iphone4s on the program and am very pleased with it. I started with a Samsung and had it for over a year with no problems of hidden charges and have always had great reception.
I highly recommend it and would purchase again without hesitation..

My husband and I have Straight Talk. We both use the Samsung Proclaim Phone that uses the Verizon Network. I have the 45 dollar plan and hubby has the 60 dollar international plan. We both have been pleased with the phones and the reception. We were paying a whole lot more for cell phones and service per month. The best part is no contract. We have unlimited data and calling. Hubby likes to check email and stock market on the go. It works well while traveling and used to to check flights status. There are many Android apps to choose from. You have to check to see what phone you want uses the network that you prefer. Some Straight Talk phones use Verizon, AT&T and Sprint.

I have had the same phone/plan for about three weeks now and really like it. A neighbor has two of them and is pleased with the phone. The only issue I have is the size of the screen. It is small compared with some other Samsung phones, but the price is right. Maybe an upgrade is in the future. Just glad I have bifocals.
But, if you read the reviews of Straight Talk, you will see that customer service is reputed to be pretty bad. But I can't confirm that.
Good luck with Straight Talk !

Thanks for all your responses, I think I might convert I-4s to them.

We dumped our long-held Verizon plan for Straight Talk. It saved us $150 a month. We've had no problems at all. We like it very much.

I can't wait to try these phones. I'm locked into AT&T until June and they have treated me terribly and have had nothing but problems. No reception around villages, calls dropped, etc... So glad go hear this might be a better option. counting the days till we can try them out.

For those of you who changed from Verizon to a Straight Talk phone that uses the Verizon network, were you able to "automatically" move your contact list from the Verizon phone to the Straight Talk phone? I expect the answer to be "no" but one can hope.

No, I am able to import contacts from Yahoo Mail or GMail. You can set it up to sync your contacts and then you can edit contacts from your mail accounts. I still had my contacts saved to my Verizon phone and just set up a GMail account and added the phone numbers that way. Maybe someone has another way.

Is the service good in all states? Sometimes service might be good in a local area but not when away. Is there a place to check out this Straight Talk? Are you limited to certain kind of phones.

I have had straight talk for about 4 months. Works great!! I bought the 3 month card at Walmart so I don't have to worry about any payment for 3 months. The best phone plan I have ever had.

You can check at Walmart but my ST phone has worked everywhere any other phone would work at, except where there is no service at all for any phones. You used to only use their phones but even that has opened up with the plan accepting any unlocked phone.
I highly recommend the service. I can't say enough about it. To me it is a no brainer to have a phone that gives you unlimited phone minutes, text, and data for 45 dollars a month and no contract on a phone that works everywhere I have ever been. NO BRAINER. It has worked flawlessly in Florida, Tennessee and Montana.

The service that you are assigned to by Straight Talk depends on the phone. I have the Samsung Proclaim phone which uses the Verizon network. It has worked all over the U.S. Other Straight Talk phones use different networks. You can check to see the Verizon coverage to check to see if it will work where you want to go. Some Straight Talk phones use Sprint, some use AT&T. You can call Straight Talk and ask or go online and check.

We are heavily considering switching from Sprint (current bill is $160 per month for 2 phones!) to Straight Talk. We love our iPhones and I am wondering if anyone knows which service carrier (ATT/Sprint/Verizon) Straight Talk uses for the iPhones?
We live in Brownwood and Sprint works great here...BUT, Sprint is not good over by Lake Sumter, at all.
Any feedback on iPhones with Straight Talk, would be so appreciated.
Thanks a bunch!
Angie
