Saw what looked like a coyote running from the Villages HS parking lot over to the Belvedere Library. Could have been a skinny German Shepard though that looked extremely unkept. No collar on. I had to slow down for it so I got a fairly good look.

This was at about 4 p.m. this afternoon.

Coyotes are becoming a big poblem. In Boulder CO they are showing up every where. One guy was bitten on the hand by one. Don't feed them

Sounds like a cougar to me? I have seen them around the Belvedere Library too but they usually have only two legs. Some of them make you wish you had a lot more money to spend on them. Anyway, almost 54 (birthday 2-24) is too old for most of them.

I think I saw the same coyote this morning in Belvedere Village on the Churchill Greens Golf Course. I was taking the dogs outside at 7 AM on our back lawn adjacent to the golf course, and a large coyote ran by.

Please supervise your cats and dogs carefully if you live in the area of the Charter School or the golf courses at Pimlico/Churchill Greens/Belmont.

That does sound like the same furtive critter because I hope there are not more than one in that area. One thing though it did not seem cognizant that much of cars and trucks on Belvedere. It slunk across the golf cart crossing between the Belvedere Library and the High School but it seemed more worried about any people being around as I could have hit it if I had been moving any faster.

Here is a photo of a coyote about 20 feet in back of our house taken last month using a game camera. We have lots of coyote photos, and some photos of foxes, raccoons, and bobcats too.

Sometimes we hear a pack of coyotes in the eagle preserve between Liberty Park and Susnset Pointe howling at the emergency vehicle sirens.

I saw a cat outside on a house lawn yesterday. I knocked on the door and told the owner that I'd seen a coyote recently in the area. My husband was mortified. But the owner said that she was very appreciative and took the cat inside immediately. I think that some people have no idea we're sharing our habitat with a lot of wild critters.

We saw a coyote across St Charles Street from the Liberty Park pool Sunday night around 10:30. A big, healthy looking coyote. Also saw a rat at the mail stop. The coyotes may be surviving quite well keeping the rat population down?

Gee... Um.. Since when does TV have gates, fences, guards, watches, that tells allllll these wild animals to stay out of TV. Maybe we can put signs up by the preserves and gates that say no wild animals or coyotes beyond this point.
Come on people, it is that way all over the country. Even in major cities. Does anyone really believe they shouldn't be here? After all they were here way before us. Lol Sounds like the old west and settlers/govt pushing out the Indians than they got upset when they saw one. Too funny
Don't get me wrong please. I am not trying to downplay that we dont have to be careful with pets, and forewarning people is commendable. But I would think they are everywhere.
BTW..isn't it interesting that all the garbage is placed out in plastic bags and I have yet to see any bags, at least in my area torn into at night?
