View Full Version : Round of applause for Gracie

Having not been on TOTV as much as I used to, I noticed Gracie is almost at the 13,500 post marks. Good girl, Gracie. Of those 13,500 posts, a good 13,000 of them are helpful and what she says is right on, never causing controversy or complaing about issues when others are. Yes, there might be a few short "Boy Howdy's" in them. A true Ambassador for The Villages, Gracie's honesty and desire to help people, deserves to have a street named after her. Not affiliated with TOTV or The Morse family, Gracie sees no profit in her time as the only payback she receives or wants is satisfaction of helping others.
When I first began posting on TOTV I thought that Gracie had no life and she had nothing better to do with herself. I later found out she plays lots of golf and is always there to help a friend, neighbor or stranger for no reason other than she wants to help. Looking forward for 30,000 more posts. She is a special person and everyone should give her a round of applause for being who she is. :BigApplause::clap2::BigApplause::clap2:

Being rather new to TOTV, I know just what you mean about Gracie. Every time I read one of her posts, I think, what a neat lady! Always gracious, very helpful and sincere, and fun. Thank you, Gracie!!!

Personally, I find Gracie to be a royal pain in the neck. You go visit her and she won't let you help with anything. You say need someone or something and she's right there. They really don't make them any better. I, for one, am so glad she thinks I'm one of her buds and part of her posse. TOTV is blessed to have her. Thanks, Gracie!!!!

Way to go Graciegirl. She and I and others are addicted to TOTV but sure like having her on TOTV as she always seems to greet the newcomers and makes the veteran posters like me feel continually welcome. I have no problems with the complainers though as we do often make things better if someone is listening. :clap2:

Gracie is what we call in New York, "GOOD PEOPLE".
Somone you want to know and be friends with as they are always helpful and be there when you need them as you would do the same.
I know Gracie will be embarrased to get all this attention but it is well deserved.
BTW - One of these days, I will meet her in person. :icon_wink:

Gracie is our ambassador here on TOTV. I wish I had just a little bit of her tolerance and grace (no pun intended) but alas...not going to happen.
Love ya, Gracie.

Wow. From the first line of your quote I thought there was friction between the two TOTV giants. Glad the royal pain comment was made in jest.

Kathy and I know Gracie, not just from TV, but also from "back home" in Ohio (we lived about 20 miles apart) before she and her family made TV their permanent residence. We'll be following to TV shortly (we closed on our home in TV's Village of Sanibel about 2 weeks ago).
Gracie is sincere, genuine, hospitable, an optimist, and always sees a glass one-half empty as ONE-HALF FULL. For those who know Gracie, you are fortunate. If you haven't met her, you owe yourself the opportunity to "meet and greet" Gracie the Great (and her family, too).

The late Zig Ziglar talked about names of people foretelling their grown-up personality and character. In some African country, for example, children were named for the day of the week they were born. Male children born on Tuesdays were given a name that roughly translated to ornery, while male children born on Sunday were given a name that roughly translated to God-like. According to Zig, 60 percent of men in prison in that country were born on Tuesday, while over 70 percent of men in the clergy were born on Sunday! All that is to say that Grace Gantner's parents endowed her with the perfect name.
