Has anyone moved from the northeast to TV and would recommend a moving company, or discuss who to stay away from. I have several quotes and gathering info to decide. We expect to be there in May...but time is flying by. Thanks for your help.

Interview 3 or 4, we interviewed 3 and they were all over the place, price and weight! Your rep may be able to put you in touch with 2 companies that TV has associations with, they should be reliable. Have been in corporate relocation for years, it seems it all depends on the driver, a happy driver, a happy move!

Good luck! Where in CT are you?

We used Hartford Dispatch in East Hartford - twice in six months and they were great.

Welcome Welcome!!! We did the move ourselves using a U-Haul trailer. Purchased furniture for 2 bedrooms in CT and the living room and dining room furniture here.

Still have our home in Rocky Hill that will be going on the market soon.

We are in the Danbury area. I too worked for a relocation company years ago.
Thanks for the suggestion, I will check. We have two quotes and they are pretty close.

Thank you, good luck with your sale. Things are moving a little. Only well qualified buyers will get a mortgage. Guess that is the way it should be, like the "old" days.
I need a "bigger boat"..

Small world, husband Danbury native and I taught at St. Joe's and Immaculate! We probably overlapped somewhere! We are moving to Gilchrist, closing 3/1, full time 3/17 ish.
Good luck with your move

Ideally sell as much as you can, it won't fit or look right.
