View Full Version : dogs and golf courses
Don't want to start another "poop" thread as the last one was closed by the moderator. I hopefully will be moving to TV this summer. I do not currently own a dog, however, I want to get a tiny little one to love. My question is: is it OK to walk your dog on the golf courses very early or very late if golfers are not on the courses and you pick up after your dog? I would never consider letting the dog run...the dog would be on the cart path on a leash with me...obeying all the rules. I am a rule follower so I would not abuse. Just need some guidance in preparation for my move. Thanks.

No. People aren't allowed to walk on the golf courses either after hours.

Hope you find the furry friend who makes your heart happy.

Because golfers are playing from sunup to sundown I would say no. Actually I am not sure people are supposed to walk the cart paths. There are plenty of places to walk dogs and many dog parks. Enjoy the Villages and enjoy your new little dogs. Consider a Bishon, they are wonderful dogs.
Thank you for your replies. Don't know the rules yet. I'm sure I will have many more questions. I have my heart set on a "havanesse" dog which I believe somewhere along the line is like a Bishon.

Had to google it since I had never heard of a Havanese. Really cute! (and it's the national dog of Cuba)
