Will be taking LSV the last week of March. What should I be doing now. Do the Villages send you any information prior to arrival?

Call the number you used when you made your arrangements and feel free to ask any questions you may have about your upcoming visit.
They will be pleasant and informative.
Many of us have had one, but over time, the perks and offerings sometimes change a bit. They can advise you best.
When we took ours, a Daily Sun newspaper was delivered to us every day.
(that's our own Villages newspaper) It is a regular newspaper, but in it you will find:
Open house showings for the day (plus maps on how to get there)
Particular one night dinner specials at the country clubs
Special events ( like art shows, polo matches, car shows, etc.)
Live entertainment schedules at the 3 town squares, Church on the Square, Savannah Center and Katie Belle's Restaurant /Nightclub (for residents only)
Movie Listings ( 3 town square movie theaters)
(Thursdays) Recreational News insert (covers all club, sports and classes that residents only can participate in)- a taste of what is to come once you live here!
THAT was very helpful to us.
They will also give you a general map (when you arrive) which will include golf car paths and auto paths for your general area and will go over it with you.
Again, once you arrive, they will also tell you what you need to know about tee times, etc. if you will be golfing.
Your sales rep will be as attentive (or subdued) as you want them to be, and will show you what you want to see around the campus.
All you have to do is enjoy :)

Take the trolley tour and "bring your checkbook".
Take to anyone and everone you come in contact with.
You will be blown away by the beauty of TV and it's friendly people.

Go to the squares, enjoy watching and dance if you are in mood to do so. Don't hesitate to ask questions of people who are living in TV; I have found that most people are happy to talk about their experiences in TV. Drive the golf cart. Go to some open houses if you have the chance. Have a wonderful time!

I second the trolley tour....sounds hokey but is a wonderful experience...be sure and go Downtown each nite and try the country clubs for supper rather than the chain restaurants...

The best advice I could give is get a map BEFORE you get here and study it, study it, study it. One of the biggest challenges when you come for the first, second, or third time is finding your way around. If you have an idea of the lay of the land I believe it would make your time more pleasurable and productive.

.....Also.... read the brochure in your Villa about the round-a-bouts.... Coming from San Diego, where there are NO roundabouts, this was a new concept in driving/traffic control that we were not used to.
If you are renting a car, you will definitely want to take 2 minutes and read the 'rules of the round-a-bout road' brochure that is left on the coffee table of your Villa.... So helpful!
Also, when you check in for your LSV villa, tell them that you want to buy the $5 map. This is critical as it will have the golf cart paths AND all the new streets on it. This came in so handy during our intense house hunting trip.
We would be out with our sales rep, all day long, looking at lots/homes and when we would part company at the end of the day, we would use our map to go back and see the lot/home on our own. Could not have done this w/o the $5 map.
Lucky You! Enjoy every moment!!
