Over the past month or so I have heard, from fairly good sources, about changes coming to the Havana CC restaurant. My attitude was, been there heard that before. However, Monday afternoon my golf group stopped at Havana for drinks after golf. When the waitress asked if any of us wanted to see a menu someone asked if it had changed again. She said yes they have a new menu, new chef and new owner. One of the "rumors" I had heard was that the lessor of Bonifay/Evans Prairie was interested in taking over Havana. To my surprise the new menu looks very similar to the Bonifay menu both in design and content. I failed to ask her if Kris was gone but thought maybe someone here may have more info as to whether there has been a change or not.

I was there last night and as far as I know, Kris is still the owner and they do have a brand new menu. I know in the past I have been very negative about the food there but I must admit that the past few meals were very good. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm kinda a basic type of eater, no lobster or fancy stuff necessary, but what I ordered was exceptionally good.
My experience was with the Ceasar Salad Chicken Wrap and last night I had the Salmon Citrus salad on spinach. The salmon was absolutely delicious, very fresh and cooked to perfection. What I have heard is the new cook has brought these new items their menu.
Tonight is shag dancing from 6 to 9 and I will be there again. Looking forward to that salmon dish again.

As of last night, Kris is still the owner. The new menu is still good, had another good chicken wrap sandwich.

Thanks for the info. One of the reasons we do not go to Havana, for food, is that we do not particularly care for the menu. But this new menu did appeal to us and we probably will give it a try.
