Hi all,
Does anyone know the name of the assisted living and/or nursing home being built now in TV? We were there in December and it was under construction.
Thanks in advance,
Bobbi

Thanks for the info. Anything near or in The Villages is what I'm interested in. We are moving to TV Spring 2014. I've been a medical social worker for 32 years and hope to find a social work position in or around TV.

Nursing/Rehabs have social work positions, Assisted Livings do not. Assisted Livings have an Executive Director; Activity/Life Enrichment Director; Director of Memory Care; Director of Nursing; Sales and Marketing Director; Director of Dining; Director of Resident Care-all or some combination of these, but not a social worker position. The Sales and Marketing Director or their staff do the intakes along with the nurse. Nursing/Rehabs are more medically oriented and have social workers. Hope this is helpful.

Hawthorn Retirement is building a second facility in Oxford by the Walmart on 466. They already have Steeplechase up and running. Now they have Carriage House which is slated to open next month. GORGEOUS place!!

Sumter Place on 466a in The Villages. Presently an assisted living home, new, modern, and very clean. Independent Living facility building starting this year. Third building after that I think will be for Dimentia patients to be built after that. Will take a few years however very caring staff at present facility and golf cart accessible. Worth checking out for sure.

A company called Sonata is building a Memory Care Community by Parr Drive for dementia/alzheimers care. The huge building that is going up by the charter schools is a new elementary school.

Very helpful! However having come from the industry as well, I believe that in some states, depending on the amount of physical care the AL can give, they require either a medical SW or RN to do the intake and discharge planning along side the Dir of Marketing.
There are some states that allow an AL to have almost SNF care levels.
