Brown grass, bare patches and rye weed

My zoysia lawn looks AWFUL. Yes, I know its winter but my yard looks browner than it ever has. I have bare spots and I have rye weed (grows really tall really fast while the rest of the lawn does nothing). Do you think that a fertilization program like Dean's would help it? I've always put Scotts Weed and Feed down at Memorial Day and Labor day but I think it needs more help.

Are people who are using Dean's services happy? Or are there any other recommendations for fertilization services?

I'm afraid if it gets much worse, I may need to re-sod my whole lawn.

We are also experiencing the effects of a dormant lawn also and its not pretty. Since we don't have any experience with zoysia, we signed with Massey. Last month they fertilized and this month they aerated. We are confident that their plan is right for us.

We use Steller and our lawn looks great (although it is only one year old).
