How do i find golf buddies

I am planning to move down to the Villages either part time or full time this coming January. Is there alot of guys searching for partners for golf down here in the Villages.

The Villages fills almost all tee times with foursomes so if you use the tee time system as a single golfer you will join and fill out a foursome. The people here are used to being joined by people that they do not know. It is a great way to meet people and many times people will say that they like to play on a given day and would you like to join them on that day.

I have heard, but it may be a rumor, that there are four people who live here who don't want to play golf, seven who don't have dogs and three ummm ...from the other side of the political aisle.;)

I am kidding you a little but the typical scenario is if you move into an established area, the guys will invite you to join their group. And if you move into a new area the guys will invite you to join their group.

In our village we have a ladies nine hole and eighteen hole on championship course. We have a ladies nine hole on executive courses, a gentleman's nine hole and a couples nine hole and three guys 18 hole championship groups. That is in a village of 53 houses. Golf is happening here in The Villages.

Kindly keep the pace of play and repair your ball marks and rake the traps. ;).

There is a Men's day on some executive courses most Tuesdays. The best advice I can give is to join The Villages.net to set up your tee times. Costs $8/mo and is so easy to use. Most of the time, my wife and I golf as a couple and meet people or golf with friends. We try to golf the 1 and 2 level courses and, on occassion, 3rd level. We're all in the same boat and are here for the time of our lives. Enjoy!!!
