Dr. Spurrier is the best. he will not do surgery unless it is absoluetly neccessaary and will greatly help your situation. I've been turned down twice for surgery by him.....altho I wish he'd do it I do respect his decision. I am learning to deal with the pain in other noninvasive ways. If surgery isn't really going to help you long term, why put your body thru it is his theory. I have to agree.

Dr. Spurrier, by far, the best in The Villages. I did have surgery and he's very good. ALL the medical personnel I came into contact with during that time confirmed this!!!

My husband had a double fusion a year ago last December and is doing wonderful. We went to Barry Kaplan, Ocala Neurosurgical Center. They also have an office n The Summit, Hwy 466. I believe Dr Kaplan is only at that office 1 day a week. This was the second successful surgery my husband had with Dr. Kaplan and I recommend him highly. Has a bit of the old "God" complex but his work is wonderful and the experience with the Ocala hospital was excellant. Hope this helps.

I had Dr. Spurrier who finally did his non-evasive surgery on my ruptured disc. Heard countless positive comments from medical folks--from the ER, to the surgical floor, to the P.T. person who ministered to me. The negative comments were---they'd seen the work of many others in the area where surgeries were botched etc etc etc. I still stand by Dr. Spurrier---would go back to him again if needed!!!

Dr Mark Oliver did my neck surgery a few years ago and I've had excellent results.
