Anyone from Ireland?

Have been visiting the villages for 5 years and havnt come across anyone from Ireland.

My mother (born in County Meath) is a snowbird. She lives in Summerhill.

Here's a list of all the clubs in The Villages. There are 3 Irish clubs. You will find a lot of people from Ireland at these clubs.

I'm thinking the OP meant people who still actually live in Ireland part of the year, every year, not Irish-Americans of whatever generation, but maybe I got it wrong.

Back to the subject - I haven't met any Irish nationals either, although I have met one or two from Scotland, who go back every year. Have met several Brits as well.

I will stereotype in a different way then. All the folks that I have met from Ireland have a warm heart and a quick wit and a beautiful complexion and an easy smile. And that goes for all of my dear friends whose parents came from the old country and have passed these endearing traits down.

A few of my friends of Irish descent like a cold drink on a hot day. One of my Irish friends who I play golf with every week is such a joy to my heart that just being around her for a few hours is a wonderful thing.

Did St. Patrick really drive all of the snakes from the Emerald Isle?

St Patrick, according to legend, didn't actually drive "snakes" out. They are referring to Pagans as snakes. I wish there were no more actual snakes ANYWHERE!! :yuck:

Thank you for all your replys. I am seeking people who were born in Ireland and emigrated to USA. My BF did same 50 yrs ago. Myself, my parents emigrated from Cork.
