I always thought the Regional Rec Center's sport pools are for residents only, no guest allowed to swim. I was in Seabreeze today and I saw about 12 young children between the ages 9 and 19 swimming in the pool. Granted, I have no idea why they were there or who they were with, but I found it curious they were even there.

Regional rec. center pools ( or sports pools ) are supposed to be RESIDENT ONLY and 30+ years old. It should have been brought to the attention of the rec. center supervisor.

I thought at the sports pool, that there was someone in charge conducting the scheduled events as they take place thru the day. Could be that someone was missing that morning.

Really makes no sense to vent here, and not talk to the peeps at the rec center who could actually do something about the problem.

I believe you can only rent the pool on Sundays and it would be private and no one else can use it, not even the people who pay for the fees every month!

I think they can only be rented on Sunday afternoons. I would have gone right to the Rec center to find out what was going on, kids should not have been there.

I was wondering if it was in writing and I did find it on page 3 of the weekly schedule of activities. I've posted the PDF link below for those who may not been aware of this weekly document and want to bookmark it:

I have entered a Sports Pool- during a specified "rental time" and found about 30 kids and adults having a great time. Diving for pennies and having a blast. Worked out great for us--the KIDS found my husband wedding ring he lost during Water Volleyball earlier that day!

The developer allows students from the Charter School to use the sports pools, since they don't have a pool at the school. The ones you saw were probably involved in some school activity.

I'm sure that explains it, how nice.

It is nice and has been going on ever since the school was built.
