Can anyone suggest who I could call to have my lawn raked? There are so many leaves that the grass cannot grow in sections and would like to hire someone to get the yard cleaned up. The lawn service I use will only mow and not rake....go figure. Thanks.

Unless you have a huge pile of leaves I don't understand why regular mowing isn't addressing the problem. Normally finely ground leaves are a great source of nutrition for a lawn.

We have two very large oak trees and when we purchased the house the leaves were never kept up on and are so embedded in that the grass is not growing in sections. When the lawn guys come and mow they may get the leaves on top of the grass but not the ones deep down. I do understand that leaves can be beneficial but not when they are so thick that watering and the sun cannot get thru to the soil.

But they may have thought you wanted them to rake as PART of your service. Take one of the young ones aside and say, would you rake my leaves and bag them for fifty dollars, cash? I will provide the bags.

I bet that will work.

......you might try Ron Duncan....3 5 2 ...3 9 1---0 1 2 7.

In my opinion he will do a good job.
...I do know he does tree trim and cleanup and shrub maintenance work.
....he will rake our lawn at Oak Trees if requested...slight extra cost.

.... mows our lawn.....does EXCELLENT job of mow-trim-edge and cleanup.
......will mow with PUSH- OR- RIDER......your choice.

I would think a couple of passes VERY Slow with push mower would turn
the leaves into a natural lawn supplement.

Another way to Rake LARGE volumes of leaves is to use a high pressure washer to guide them to a given area for bagging.

The tedious and dusty raking is nearly eliminated.....and....your lawn will look immaculate.

Perhaps someone else could chime in on that idea.
