A friend just had major surgery on her liver and went to Tampa General and had an excellent experience at that hospital. My dad was also in there for heart problems and I was extremely impressed with the cardiology docs.

My husband had a life-saving triple bypass by Dr Galat at Ocala Heart and his stay was at Munroe Regional. You will not find a better heart hospital than Munroe and we are forever grateful to both Dr Galat and Munroe.

Go to Shands in Gainesville. Marian Limacher is an excellent cdiologist- with excellent surgeons there. Whatever you do, do not go to The Villages Hospital!!!

My wife had aortic valve replacement and bypass in 2010 at LRMC. Surgeon recommended by her cardiologist was Wistar (Tim) Moore III, MD of
Leesburg Ocala Heart Institute. Everything went well and she had excellent care in the Cardiac ICU and Cardiac Care Unit. Dr. Moore has done many of these procedures. He prayed with us before the surgery and the nurses in this department were terrific.

Strongly suggest Dr. Ferandez at Tampa General he found I HAD 4 blockages and also had Afib he is the best as Iam playing ball again and blockages are taken care of The actual surgeon was Dr. Sheffield but Dr. Ferandez over see. bring up dr. Shefield on the enternet and you will see his credentials they are amazing, but you have to go through Dr. Ferandez first. They will decide if you need the heart cather which tells it all. and questions call me at 352-396 6329. Plus the hospital is so clean.
