I'm looking for an HONEST Independent (no chain shops or dealers need apply) to do regular service on my truck.
I've always had the fortunate luxury of having a guy who I could trust to do the standard service on my vehicle. I had my former mechanic for 12 years and I already miss him badly.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Many thanks..

We have had really good, honest service from Tri-County Automotive on 441 in front of Lowe's. I've recommended him to many people and all are pleased.

How are they price-wise?

Here's another plug for TRI County! I had a slow leaking tire so went by the shop at Wal Mart hoping to get it repaired. I was told that the tire was worn beyond the point that they were allowed to fix it. I passed Tri County and stopped there. They were very nice and said they did not work on tires but recommended Tire Roundup. After a very short wait at Tire Roundup the guy found a tiny nail. He said he could fix it for $25 or he had a used Michelin for $40 ( it looked new). He put the used tire on the left front and also put my never used spare on the right front. Total bill $58! I found that to be more than fair! They also recommended Tri County for repair work!
It helped me a lot as I am in the process of "car shopping" (UGH) and I did not want to have to put a brand new set of tires on a car I might be trading soon!

Accutech on 301 next to the new golf driving range is the only place we go to. Bobby is so honest and knows his stuff.

We have had the fortune of using Jason Accurso. He is the son of a Villager and our friends recommended him. We have used him several times, have been very happy with his honesty and good work. 352.748.9004 If you take 466 to 301 and turn left, it is the 1st left (Baptist Church on corner) - County Road 108
Address is 11615 County Road 108, Oxford, FL

We have used Hutson Automative Repair @ 3201 US Hwy 441-27, Fruitland Park (352)728-1454
since we have been down here. They are very good at auto and RV repair. They will not try do any unnecessary repairs. They actually discouraged us from having very costly work done on our RV AC that was really not needed.

Mack 184,
Tri County's prices are very reasonable. We have a Jag and it takes 9qts of oil and an oil change up north was $100. Tri County charges us $30. He has also done other repairs for us. Nice guy. Honest work at good prices.
