Probably should figure out if they're a problem before you kill them - some bugs actually have a positive affect on our environment.

I saw them at a friend's driveway (they basically covered the driveway) last year. I think they were millipedes. Read the link I attached to see if they are similar to your critters. http://organicgardensite.com/bugs-harmful/centipedes-millipedes/

I think they're millipedes. I had a big problem with them about 3 years ago. called Massey. No problem ever since.
