We stretched our laundry room out five feet to accommodate a small office. There is no a/c vent in the hallway between the garage and the kitchen and there is only a small one in the far area where the laundry is located leaving the desk area with no circulating "air". Has anyone built a Lantana stretching it in this manner and have the same problem? Or did their builder put in a vent in the hallway?

We stretched our laundry room out to 9' x 12' and, also, included a half bath. We had our builder add vents to both rooms. I can't imagine how hot it would get in there if we hadn't -especially if one wanted to use the space for a computer.

You had the builder add....he did not do it on his own? Do you have a vent in the hall from the kitchen to the garage?

Do you also have one in the laundry room area as well?

The vent (small one) is only in the hallway between the kitchen and garage...not in the extended nook area.

I can't imagine how hot you will be with the heat off of the computer added to Florida sunshine! I think you should check out the Contractor page for a certified and and insured contractor to add one, though it seems like your builder should have. We added a lanai unit and were very happy wth Sumter Air, as some others have said as well...
