Hello,

I am in the process of shopping for a hot tub. I have visited Spa Kingdom (Maax), Tri County Pool and Spa (Artesian) and Pinch-A-Penny Pool/Spa (Hot Springs) in Ocala. Are there any other dealers in the area which I am overlooking? I also would appreciate any advice or opinions on the dealers/products I mentioned.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

I would look for a hot springs or sundance model. Both are very well built units and are typically trouble free. I personally own a Sundance and it has been very good and trouble free.

T & D Pools sells hot tubs. I purchased mine from the Colony Plaza location. T & D also has a large showroom on Rt 466/Parr Drive if you want to go and look at a larger selection of hot tubs.

We bought a Marquis from Spa Kingdom almost three years ago and have had no issues at all. It's a family run business and they are very pleasant to work with. We were just in ours after a cold motorcycle ride! :icon_wink:

I owned a hot tub store for twenty-five years and I would say that Hot Springs and Sundance are the number one and two brands in the country. We owned an artesian for 10 years and it was one of our favorite spas. It ran perfectly. The most important thing is to wet test the spa you are interested in buying to make sure it's the right fit. Also research the dealer to make sure they are reputable.

we got an above the ground model when we built this house. In our other house, the spa was connected to the pool and was in ground.

I don't like the bromine smell that we have to use to keep it clean.

Is there anything else? And it really fades our swim suits fast!

On the hot tub subject, does a hot tub have to be located in an enclosed lanai? Or can ot be on a cement pad with no enclosure?

I'm pretty sure you do not have to have it enclosed.

My hot tub uses a mineral cartridge, there is no chlorine or bromine used at all and the water is crystal clear.

It can but requires a locked cover.

Can U elaborate on that mineral cartridge.

I looked under for sale items and did not see your listing, is it still for sale? And what are the details? Thanks
