I was just watching ABC News and they mentioned that today is the 75th anniversary of Abbot & Costello's "Who's On First" comedy skit. I got to thinking about who IMHO would be the best pair to recreate it a modern version of it today, and without hesitation Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci came to mind. Agree, have another pair in mind or any comments?

"Let me understand this Skyguy cause, ya know maybe it's me,
I'm a little messed up maybe, but I'm funny how,
I mean funny like I'm a clown, I amuse you Skyguy?
I make you laugh, I'm here to freekin' amuse you?
What do you mean funny, funny how? How am I funny?"

This has to be one of the funniest skits ever! About once a year I dig up my digital version of it and have agood laugh. Thanks for the reminder! And I didn't know it was 75 years ago today.

The Mets have a Taiwanese player named Chin Lun Hu. When he got on base the other day the announcer said "I've been waiting all my life to say this, bit Hu's on first ".

Funny. I saw that on ABC World News with Diane Sawyer too last night about the Who's on First 75th Anniversary.

The most clever routine ever!!! It is the bomb.
Abbott and Costello are the only two non-baseball people in the Baseball Hall Of Fame. I remember feeding quarters into a machine at the BHOF that played this routine.
Boy, that was a long time ago.

Having Billy Crystal because of his love of baseball be part of the act would work. Crystal is one of the funniest people in the world

I caught part of the recreation with Jimmy Fallon. Didn't care for it. I don't think anyone could top Abbott and Costello.

Boy, that was a long time ago. :smiley:Are you sure you're not confusing that machine with the naughty Mutoscope peep show machines you found in penny arcades when we were kids? :evil6:
