Anyone out there with Comcast who is having the voice disappear about every 2 minutes on their TV cable? I know Comcast had this problem about 2 months ago and everyone was having the problem. Comcast supposedly fixed it after a few days, but it's back............been doing it for the last 2 days.
Thanks.......

Yep, I noticed it a lot on CBS shows last night. Same thing, audio would go out for about 3 seconds every 2-3 minutes. It is annoying. Only checked it out on our 2 HD boxes not the DTA connected sets.
Haven't had the TV on yet today.
Have you tried to report it to Comcast?

Yep, Comcast says it is probably my cable box, but I know it's not. They insist on sending someone out Sunday to fix it. Our box isn't the problem. This isn't the first time experiencing this and seems mostly on CBS, NBC, ABC. It's cable company problems but you talk to someone 6,000 miles away and they read from a script when you call. Brighthouse had this problem all the time when we lived in another county.

Watching CBS HD now and it is doing it again...seems like every minute and fifteen seconds. Just checked non HD channel 6 and it is doing a very brief blip about every minute.
Anybody else?
Wonder if rebooting the box will help?

Your local WFTV television news program reported on their "investigation" of Comcast just this past week. Here's a link to the story:
Action 9 investigates major cable company | www.wftv.com (http://www.wftv.com/news/news/local/action-9-investigates-major-cable-company/nW95N/)
While it's fine to make/share complaints here on TOTV, this won't get you any resolution to the problems you're having with Comcast. The proper way to file a complaint is with the State's representatives. There is info in the above link that shares where you should properly be making your complaints. I know that when I filed complaints with the NYS (where I live) Public Service Commission (once re: landline phone problems and again re: brief but frequent disruptions of electrical power) I immediately had better service from both the telephone (Verizon) and power (National Grid) companies.
It's just a suggestion. But, I firmly believe in filing a formal complaint against a company if I expect to have any chance of resolution.

No, rebooting the box doesn't help. It is not our boxes. Comcast probably needs to get more calls about this because when I called about 2 hours ago they said that no one else has called about it. If people don't report it then they think the one person who does call needs a technician to come out. But we don't.........it's not just one person's box. It's a Comcast problem probably

I just talked to Comcast and they said it was a problem with CBS. I don't believe that and this sound thing is very annoying.

I don't know about anybody else, but I haven't detect the problem occurring today. However, I have noticed that if you recorded any programs while the problem was ongoing, you'll see the problem happening when you play back the recordings and might mistakenly think the problem is back.

It's been doing it all day on CBS, however Thursday and Friday it was also ABC and NBC. This is now day 3. Seems we watch CBS the most too. When I called last night they insisted it was my box especially since they said no one else was calling with a problem. They scheduled a tech for tomorrow but I cancelled as I know it's not my box. This has been an ongoing problem off and on since we moved here in Sept. with Comcast. We need to see who we can contact to get a final resolution with this problem. The amount they charge monthly, we shouldn't have to put up with these continuing problems.

Having the problem tonight. Also when the sound stops and then starts a little pixelating (spell?).

I was having a pixilization problem (they refer to it as tiling) on a few stations this past month. When I called, they had me turn off the cable box and unplug it and unplug the cables from the TV and wait two minutes and plug everything back in again and retry it and the tiling went away. The first time I did the process I did not unplug the cables from the TV and the problem did not go away. I specifically asked him if I had to remove the cables from theTV. He said yes. When I repeated the process all was good.
Go figure.
I have not tried it with this problem yet. I did not know I had it until last night when I was watching the NCAA playoffs.
