I just had my initial appointment today with Dr. Agbo and I must share that I was extremely pleased with everything including the office assistants .

Dr. Agbo is the prefect blend between the " Old Fashion " family physician we all remember from our youth combined with modern office practice and management . His CV is excellent -- very impressive training .

This Dr. actually listens intently , put me at ease right away and easily spent 45 minutes going over every aspect of my medical history .

I arrived 30 minutes early to complete all of the " in take " paper work which the Dr. had obviously reviewed prior to meeting with me . By the time he completed the visit I had a well though out plan of action for various tests and follow-up . [ Yes I had read on this site that sometimes a patient may have to wait a while to meet with him however I would much rather sit in the waiting room for a while in order to receive such a high quality encounter with the Dr .
Two thumbs up to the Dr. and his staff .

I usually don't get into recommendations since what is good for one may not be good for the other, etc. BUT I am making an exception with this. I went to see Dr. Agbo yesterday because my Cardiologist wanted me to have a family Dr. and I kept avoiding it. Dr Agbo ended up to be a terrific Doctor and I have no reluctance in recommending him as a family physician. He listens, will spend as much time with you as necessary and covers what I think are the key tests to make sure you are healthy. He has a great bed side manner and if you ever need it he is one of few that has Hospital privileges in The Village Hospital. Net: He is what you would want in a Doctor.:eclipsee_gold_cup:

Very helpful, thanks. Our closing date is next week. Dr Agbo is already on my list of doctors who accept our medical insurance & now I plan to move him to the top of that list.

My husband and I also have Dr Agbo for our primary physician and are very pleased with him. Agree with all the other posters.

My husband and I are new to the Villages. We saw Dr. Agbo on two separate occasions. We are from the NY/NJ area and were not familiar with the procedure of "some" doctors in The Villages. What I felt uncomfortable with was Dr. Agbo inputting all the information on the computer at the same time we were discussing our medical history. In addition I had some difficulty understanding everything Dr. Agbo was saying. I have no problem with my hearing but, Dr. Agbo has a heavy accent. After the second visit I told my husband that I didn't feel Dr. Agbo was the right fit for us and found a different doctor that is more attentive to our needs.

I understand the reluctance with Dr. Agbo. Why I prefaced my note that some see good in things and some disagree. The only thing I would take exception to is that the Dr. spends the time on the computer. That did not happen with me and I would have thought he would have spent some time since every Dr. (e.g. Cardiologist, Urgent Care, etc.) I have seen all have stood at the "Laptop" and either inputted data or read what the preliminary tests have been that were entered on the computer. Again, I respect your opinion but feel both my wife and I were very happy with him and I can be a real pain when it comes to Doctors.

I was in The Villages hospital for a week and he was at my side EVERY day.... he consistently reviewed my chart and had multiple discussions with the other specialists providing my care.
You do need to sometimes ask him to repeat himself but he has always been nothing but professional
