Did anyone read the article about the landscaping of a home on the marsh at Bridgeport Laurel Valley. The owner is pictured at what is described to be "his own driving range". Is he really hitting golf balls into the marsh? It takes 100-1000 years for a golf ball to decompose while releasing high quantities of zinc! Environmentally safe golf balls are very expensive so I doubt that is what he is hitting.

Owner's name is Richard Schwartz......Family????

That's him. Gary Morse's brother from another mother. With all his money he can afford to hire a diver to retrieve the golf balls, like they did from that driving range on El Camino Real.

I don't know anything about who is realted to whom, but when I saw his fabulous yard I wondered how he was able to cover so much grass with his hardscape??? Looks wonderful, but I though we had to have grass???

Who's going to tell Harold Schwartz's son he can't do something?

Richard, back in the mid to late 90s was an integral part of Harold's family. He ran the entire golf operation before it was handed over to the current management company. After Harold's death, Gary Morse, his Step Brother took the reins and seemingly banished Richard. He was removed of any position and according to rumor, paid a handsome fortune to stay away from anything to do with TV management. Having sold his former home behind Tierra Del sol with it's own 4/5 hole golf course, he now lives in a luxury home as noted in today's Daily Sun. There are many stories about him that I can't comment on as they are mostly rumor mill stuff. Twenty years ago I had several opportunities to chat with him about various golf related issues. Didn't think he was too awfully bright, especially on the occassion he was quoted in the newspaper saying that maintenance workers on the golf courses had priority over golfers. Many years ago his administration posted a sign near the tee at the Oaks hole # 6 advising, no peeing, in the days when the first homes were being built there. Classy!
