There has been a lot of discussion about emergencies and hospitals on the Forum.
There seems to be some companies that offer air medical transport service plans. Have any of you used these services before?
Their plans appear to be for people who travel away from their home and have a serious injury or medical emergency which results in them being hospitalized away from home and need medical transport to a hospital back home.

Do you have any idea what these services cost? Unless your name is Rockefeller, Trump or Wynn you're going to be in for a major shock. Plus, most insurances will not pay for such transportation unless it is deemed absolutely necessary.

Are you sure you are not one of their sales people?
You just listed several of the issues they point out in their marketing material?
They claim that they are not insurance companies, but service plans. They have restrictions too. But it looks like their service fills [a gap] that most travel insurance plans do not cover.
Did you take a look at their plans and the cost?

I always used a company called SOS when I traveled outside the US. They did a lot more then medical air transport. They would provide a new passport if lost or stolen, legal help, muscle help, embassy and medical information before or while traveling, and many other services. It was company paid, but is also available at a fee based on destination and length of stay. I used it once on a vacation trip and it was not that expensive.
