We called a company out of the Daily Sun to do some paver work in our yard. The guy returned my call right away, he came out when he said he would and he gave us good ideas, spent time with us picking out colors and designs. We signed a contract, gave him a deposit and he never showed up, once we got his name we googled it and he is a felon from way back, the awful thing is he was in our house. Beware of Premier Pavers, the guys name is Timothy Lee Connell AKA Premiere Pavers. We thought we did our research nothing came up about his company we didn't have his name until we signed the contract, with no reason to question we didn't, a life lesson learned, no more trusting, FL seems way worse than other places, we lived in CA and never run into this kind of character.

I hate to say it, cause I am one, but anywhere there are seniors, there are scam artists trying to take advantage of us. The old rule stands:

Never do business that requires money up front.

Just don't do it. There are always others available. No matter how charming, how sincere, how creative, how knowledgable, or how friendly they may be, don't do it. Pay when the job is done, and give them a deadline. I promise you, there are plenty of honest business persons serving The Villages who will do the work under those circumstances. If they don't have the money to carry inventory for whatever product they are selling, or don't have the credit with suppliers to secure the product, then they won't do business with me.

He is also associated with Premier Land Management - apparently the name of the company keeps changing - does he have a Fruitland Park address on the contract? Sumter Police Department has a procedure in place for thing like this - I know what you are going through!

It's always best to check them out with the BBB and Seniors Against Crime.

Allow me to give an endorsement for Paradise Pavers, a TOTV sponsor. They did my driveway, and I couldn't be happier. Quality work, on time, priced fairly, and came back for a follow up when requested.
