Mrs. Buggy and I went to Lake Sumter Landing tonight since it was such a beautiful evening. A group called Yesterdayze was the entertainment. They played and sang songs of the 1960's and were very good. We arrived a few minutes before 5 and within 30 minutes, the chairs were almost all gone and a good sized crowd was enjoying the music.

I did not see saved chairs, grumpy people, drunk people, but only lots of people having a good time.

Instead of spending so much time on the computer with stories of dog poop, wild grandkids, concealed pistols, and other fal-de-rol; I suggest a break from all of that and a therapeutic trip to one of the town squares for an evening of great entertainment.

Ditto. We were there this evening also. Great group. Everyone having fun. People offered us their chairs as they were leaving. There were several young families visiting.

Amen. Many on this board aren't there full time. But when I am in town for a week or so, the last thing I think about doing is being on totv griping about what went wrong today. I've never understood how so many people who claim to have so much to do every day have time to monitor this board and post so much.
Get out and be happy! You won't see me on this board all day when I'm living there full time!

We were there also. I asked the girl if they had an album or a CD. Nope, no such luck. They are a great group.:beer3::crap2:

Check out their website at yesterdayze.com. It has a lot of very interesting information on the group as well as their schedule.

They are not as popular as Rocky & The Rollers but still they are very good and well worth the visit to Brownwood on Friday.

Sure beats the threads that have been on here recently!

When visiting TV on a lifestyle plan in early March, the town square entertainment was one of the many aspects that convinced us to purchase a home. It was an outstanding way of getting out enjoying the evening, music, dancing, etc.

Great posting! I have lived in The Villages for a little over 3 years and really enjoy going to one of the town squares - usually Lake Sumter Landing - about once a week depending on the schedule of entertainment - and whatever Mrs. Buggy has planned for us.

I have read several posters in the past saying that after the initial excitement of nightly entertainment is over, they never go to the entertainment anymore. Not me! It is part of The Villages Lifestyle to see the entertainment and to see the vibrant people that come out to dance and just to have a great time.
