We are so excited to be joining you all in TV! Don and I visited in January for our LSV and immediately fell in love with the area. Our new home on Tallsman Ct. in the Village of Pinellas at Evans Prairie is making great progress. We will be closing in July on our TV home and ready to enjoy the TV experience! It has been a whirlwind experience and we are anxious to kick back and enjoy all the fun of retirement! Sally and Don

We are also on Altair Path and will close on June 21st. I can't believe how fast things move. Visited the area in March and not one house started. Came back down April 3rd and a couple of slabs down. By the time we left April 13th, at least 20 houses started. The pictures of our new home being built are amazing.
Up north we are still having winter - snow just yesterday. But today the sun is out and despite temperatures still in the low 30's, we think spring may be on its way (ever the optimist). We keep saying "this is the last winter here" and repeating it whenever the weather gets us down.
Can't wait to meet all our new neighbors. PM me and lets get to know each other.

We put a deposit on a lot on Yearling Way earlier this month and have our design meeting in mid-July. This will be our third Villages home! We never thought we would be one of those "average three homes" Villagers you hear about, but here we are making another move...hopefully our best home yet in TV! Our house should be done by the end of September or early in October. We are anxious to spend our first fall and winter in Pinellas!

I closed on a patio villa in Pinellas in May. So excited to go this weekend to finish decorating. I'm getting ready to rent it mostly for the winter. I live in Lakeland, 65 miles away, so plan to be there when possible while I finish my last 2 years of teaching before I retire. :BigApplause:

Welcome to Pinellas. We have a patio villa on Nutwood. Only spent a few nights there so far, as we had to head back north. But, we will be back at the end of December for 4-5 months after my wife retires. Good luck with the rentals. We are rented until end of June, but nothing else for rest of year.

We have been using Hometown. Scotty Holmes is the owner and his phone number is 352-789-4713. His crew has been doing an excellent job of mowing our lawn. We paid a little extra to have it mowed by walk behind mower instead of by tractor. His crew does a nice job. I had asked him for a price on weeding the beds for six weeks or so until we move down there and he said "no charge!" We will be in our new home on Yearling Way very soon.

Good to hear! Hometown has been doing a nice job for us. Our neighbors are pleased. We will soon be down to our house on Yearling Way. We can't wait! Our lanai is already being worked on. We are having glass doors installed and having the floor tiled. We already had the rugs ripped up and had wood floors put down. We started with a spec house but it is beginning to look like a new build out! Oh well.

Are you on the east or west side? They just finished putting the final touch on one house and looks like tomorrow they will be prepping/forming up for the concrete pad on the corner lot which will be the final house on Nighthawk.

We will be the house next to the one empty lot that is on the corner. We will be closing next Tuesday and will move in the week later after we have the floors installed. Address is 3036 and we are are very excited to move. Actually the corner house will not have an address on Nighthawk.

We closed today and our Villages agent took a picture of "the board" in the Sumter Landing office of new Villagers for August 12 - 14 (yesterday - tomorrow).

There were 67 new closings in these three days.

We closed on 6/21 and spent only 3 nights in our new home on Altair Path. But in about 3 weeks we are packing up the truck and driving our way down there. When we left there in June, there were many open lots and unoccupied homes in the subdivision. But from what I'm reading, looks like its almost complete. Hard to imagine. I will be so happy to meet all the neighbors (I means everyone in the sub) when I go for walks with my new little white dog "Sparkles" who is a rescue and we have had for 2 months. Maybe the rains will be over and we will be able to walk about alot and meet new friends. Congratulations to all those who have purchased their dream.
