Is there a Genealogy Club in TV?

I started my family Genealogy research several years ago, but hit a brick wall. Got back to my 4th level of Great Grandparents, but that was it. Couldn't even get back to Europe! Collaborated with a distant cousin on the project, even paid a professional researcher. Brick wall!

I've got 2 boxes of research material. We're moving to TV real soon. In the course of trying to shrink the "stuff" we're packing for TV, I'm just wondering if there is any hope of finding Genealogy assistance at TV?

Thanks in advance.

Yes there is such a club...maybe 2. Check the Rec News that comes in the Thurs. Sun newspaper AND today has an article about folks who are finding their "roots". They took a trip to Utah to go through the Morman library! Interesting read!!

Genealogical brick walls can be very frustrating until resolved - then again, some are never hurdled.

We're a few weeks away from our move to TV, so I don't have current access to the Thurs. Rec News. Where/when does the TV Genealogy Club meet? Could you provide me with a contact name/phone number?

The professional researcher I paid a few years ago tried to assist me on her trip to the Mormon Library, but came up with 0. Maybe my great grandparents 5 levels back changed their surname? This has really baffled me over the 10+ years of my research. I have a lot of first cousins, and all of them are counting on me to deliver "the goods" with info on our heritage back to Europe. I'm beginning to think I'll have better luck with getting a golf hole-in-one!

Maybe the move to TV will allow me to "really" roll up my sleeves...and discover my European heritage. I hope so!

There was a big story on genealogy group in todays Lifestyle section of The Daily Sun. A group took a trip to Salt Lake City to tour the Mormon Library there.

Very interesting. I am thinking of seeing if we have any interesting ancestors myself.

I will wait until you two get here.

Hurry!

After clicking on the above link, I am optimistic about finding my European Great Grandparents, 5th level back. I think Great Grandpa is turning over in his grave, knowing I'll soon find him!

Oh boy, oh boy! I may even take up Lager beer! You can join us, too, Gracie!
