I recently had Plantation Shuters installed. they are great and were delived exactly when Rick said they would be. He had earlier installed blinds on my lanai sliders. i just rescued two small puppies that are still cutting teeth. They chose the blinds at the sliders. Once i noticed this, I called and his crew were at my house in two and replaced all of the chewed blinds at no cost.

Thanks Rick

Now that's going an extra mile. I ordered plantation shutters too, so am glad to know I can chew them and then get repair.

He did a similar thing for us but I chose not to post it so that others who are uncaring and unscrupulous wouldn't take advantage of him.

Rick at 48 hour blinds is an ethical man and a good hard working man and a successful man because of the decent man that he is.

He is a good guy that's for sure. They did our blinds and the whole process was easier than we thought it would be. That's a nice post Graciegirl.

We also had a great experience with 48 hour blinds and Rick. The valances were much more attractive than I thought they would be for the price, and the blinds and verticals seem attractive and durable..not to mention a lifetime warranty for a very reasonable price. What more could you ask for? Thanks Rick and 48 hour blinds !!!

Still never called me back more then a week later.
We are working with another company.
Good for him that he's successful but could at least call a customer back.

That doesn't sound like Rick. I talked to him a bit ago and he says he is very busy but makes a point to try and get back asap. I whole hardheartedly agree with Gracie. Rick is an ethical, hardworking, honest guy that goes above and beyond. Once you meet him and talk to him, you can tell by his demeanor he is up front and you make a friend in him. If he sees you, he doesn't hesitate to stop and say hi. I would not ever hesitate to use his services again.

I love the sign on his truck that says "Why wait weeks?" By my rough calculation I've been waiting about 78 weeks for him to get around to calling me back. Bad business in my book!

is it possible, just possible, that the messages that were left weren'tt clear enough to get the correct phone number? Has anyone here that says 48 hour blinds didn't call back, try again to contact them???

I had a great experience with 48 hour blinds! Prompt and efficient...sounds like a phone message problem to me -- Rick doesn't seem to be at all rude to me.

I gave up on 48 Hour blinds left two messages and they did not call me back. I know there are others out there that were called backed. Glad you had good service.

JB - I actually stopped at their location twice, spoke with real people, and left our card which included 2 phone numbers, an email address, and our street address. I've got to believe the information was pretty clear.

OK fair enough. I have no reason to defend 48 Hour Blinds. I left them a message, on a Sunday, they returned my call on Monday, we set a time to meet, they didn't have what we wee looking for, we bought blinds from another souce.

I called 3 times over a 2 week period and NEVER received a call back. A few years ago, I also called and did receive a call back about a week later, only to be told that my job would be too small to be cost effective for him as I was doing only the living room and the lanai. I tried again this time only because Gracie and several others thought so highly of him. Never again.

We had 48hr do our shutters and love them. Rick was the only contractor we used who did what he said he would do & on time.:pepper2:

As with any vendor, some customers have less satisfactory experiences than others. 48 Hour Blinds generally receives high praise on this forum for their products, prices, and services and they have been a prime sponsor/advertiser on TOTV.

The OP of this thread was relating their satisfaction with their dealings with Rick/48 Hours. Others replied, not for the first time, their difficulties in reaching Rick by phone. That horse is dead.
