The AAC is considering the purchase of the El Santiago restaurant building from the Developer to be used as a rec center.
Because of the size, location and nature of the building I am not sure this is a good idea. The purchase price is yet to be determined. I guess if the price is right it might be a good idea but I am afraid it could be a white elephant.
I am also concerned about nature of the transaction.
Anyone have any thoughts on this matter?

If the developer was truly interested in re-doing this building into a rec center, then consider it an almost done deal. And, if it does come to fruition, it might be small, but it would be done in good taste; and we Villagers would enjoy using it as we do all the other buildings. IMHO

I agree. It was a good location after golf and as I live in Santiago, a close place to grab a bite to eat. Don't think it will ever return as a restaurant but the current rec center is small and a larger one would be good.

I would like to see something done with it as it has been an empty shell for a couple years now. But it would seem funny to have 2 rec centers so close together separated by a parking lot.
