Hi, I am not sure if i am posting in the right area but from some posts that i have read everyone seems pretty knowledgeable about the areas close to the actual Villages.

I will be relocating in July starting a great healthcare position in the villages
i will be moving with my young child who will be going to the charter school.

my dilemma is where to live..I do not want to jump into buying until i get to know the area. I drove through the Villages of Park wood and toured and it
looked great! but i have seen so many negative posts im not sure what to think now..
I would appreciate any advice, opinions on the communities surrounding the villages to raise a young child. also i saw an apartment community called
Courtney villages of Lady Lake any ideas on that? If i have to rent I would want a "upscale" apartment complex.

thank you so much for your input!

There are several, small, very upscale housing developments surrounding The Villages where children are allowed and with access to the schools. One comes to mind, Quail Hollow, which is located behind WalMart off 466. Difficult to describe, but here goes, I think it is 103 from 466, past WalMart on left, and Steeplechase on right, continue past the Urology Center on left, the road becomes very much a country road and you will come to Quail Hollow on the left hand side. These are absolutely gorgeous homes set on large lots.

Also, suggest you contact a Realtor outside TV and tell them what you need.

Yes to contact a realtor. Recommend Bev Shive. You can google map the school and ask for apartments nearby to get info on ascending distance.

I have a friend who lives in Courtney Villages apartments. Very nice apartments, nice pool & gym, lots of green space and their own dog park. Also very convenient to LSL & SS squares and Villages retail areas.
