charger tripping its breaker

I have a Club car DS 2003? and after using it for most of the day today. I plugged it in to charge. after 20 minutes I noticed it had tripped its own built in circuit breaker and has continued to do this after 15/20 minutes charging. Any thoughts?

Could be just a circuit breaker or a bad diod in charger, the repair is $29.95 plus parts.
